I'd been watching Zillow for quite some time and a house came up that I was interested in. I met with Jo over the weekend to discuss putting an offer on the house. Jo found out that another offer had been placed on the house but that the realtor had not yet presented it to the seller. She quickly got our offer to the seller so that both offers would be presented at the same time which enabled our offer to be selected. During the time our home was being listed on the market, our 9-year-old daughter underwent serious surgery... in fact, she took her first post-op steps the week we moved. Normally, you would think it would have not been a good time to list, sell, and purchase a new home — but we were able to because of Jo...she took care of everything needed! Jo Vallejo handled the sale of our home in South Davis. Buying/selling a home can be a very stressful time, but Jo’s expertise and thorough handling of all details made this process very smooth, efficient, and easy for us. Joyce Bimson and Jo Vallejo helped us relocate to the Davis area in summer 2019 after living in Lodi for over 30 years. It had been a long time since we’d ventured into the real estate world! Over a period of 8-10 months. Both agents spent considerable time with us as we explored homes and sought to gain an understanding of the markets in the Winters, Dixon, Woodland, and Davis areas. My husband and I came up to the Sacramento area from Los Angeles in order to house shop. Joyce Bimson and Jo Vallejo of Hearth Stone Properties were incredibly helpful when we were looking in Davis. They were extremely professional and took a lot of time explaining the different parts of Davis to us. Joyce and Jo both took us on a tour, and Joyce shared her amazing knowledge about the history and different points of interest in the town. She's like a walking Davis encyclopedia. For the second half of the day, Jo showed us the different houses on our list. She has a great personality and is very accommodating. In the end, we elected to move to a different part of Sacramento, but we are so grateful to Joyce and Jo for their time and expertise. I met Joyce twenty years ago when she helped us move from the town of Dixon to a country property in Woodland, and our friendship has grown over the years. From the start, I knew we were in good hands. Joyce’s knowledge of real estate was obviously extensive, and her devotion to our interests and diligence to make it happen was so reassuring. She always kept us informed with just the right amount of information; I think I could have been overwhelmed with more than I needed. All the i’s were dotted and t’s crossed at exactly the right time, and she was accessible at any moment if we did have questions. Plus, I could tell that she was sharing our vision!
It wasn’t until quite a while after our move that I realized the full impact of what Joyce did for us. She is so calm and steady that I didn’t realize how close we were to missing out on the ranch of our dreams; several times, in fact! It was a problematic sale due to the odd size of our property (midway between ranchette and industrial agriculture) but Joyce put her shoulder to the plow and just pulled that deal over hill and dale until we finally had the key to our new home in our hands. Whew.
I’ve never asked the details of the obstacles she had to overcome to make our transaction happen, but I know she went above and beyond for us, and I also know that Joyce would never toot her own horn. Her principal is to quietly do the right thing and not give up. And no matter what the struggles, her kind demeanor makes the experience delightful.
How could one not become friends with someone who did so much for you; helping you through an arduous journey and making it actually fun? I am blessed to have Joyce as my wise and faithful friend.

We are very thankful and blessed for having Jo as our realtor. When we first met Jo we saw her loving gentle spirit. She was not just interested in being our realtor, but she was truly focused on our needs & desires for ourselves, us as a couple and each member of our family of six-from the youngest of 5 to the oldest of 18, as she carefully searched for our home. This was due to the fact that many sellers were buying new homes and closing escrow could range from 30 to 60 days. We did incur these challenges. Again we were tempted to jump too soon in our own plans as talks of escrow closing became a bidding ground.
